Why 1000 People?

In 2005, my eldest daughter was bitten by a brown recluse spider.  In less than 24 hours it was apparent that she needed hospitalization.  The bite, which had become quite large, hot, and red; opened up internally, rather than externally, and quickly caused systemic toxicity, which nearly took her life.  Through much prayer, God's intervention, excellent care by a multitude of doctors and nurses, and volumes of medication; her life was spared.  However, the side effects of medication caused a raging systemic yeast infection resulting in multiple outbreaks through her skin.

For the past eight years, she has suffered repeated serious relapses of illness requiring multiple hospitalizations.  Each relapse finds her weaker than the one prior and has also caused much financial duress.  She is a most beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, niece, cousin, and friend to so many and we are all very concerned for her.  Through a friend who had suffered a like illness following a tick bite and a life-threatening case of Lyme disease, my daughter found out about a treatment that could be her answer.  The problem, as it so often is, is the money.  She needs $10,000.00.  Having extensively researched this program myself, I can see clearly why they must have the money up front.  It is an intense program requiring a great deal of direct, personal care from a multitude of individuals at the Hansa Center.

Last night, as I cried out to the Lord for inspiration to help my daughter, the thought of 1000 people came to mind.  Rather than seeking ways to find $10,000.00, I should seek $10.00 from 1000 people!

I first ask that you pray for her.  Second, I ask that you pray about how you can help her.  Third, I ask that you pass this blog and the facebook page on to as many as you believe might be willing to help.  Together we can do it.  When you pass this on to others, please be sure to include this blog information.

Let us see what the Lord will do!
